Bloom Aromatherapy’s cold air diffusers uses patented cold-air diffusion technology to disperse delicate scent nanoparticles into the air. Our scent diffusers protect the integrity of the oil to deliver pristine, evenly distributed scent without compromising the quality of the aroma itself. Our Diffusers are waterless, operating off essential oils in their purest form rather than diluted oils with water, heat, or alcohol.

Oils can loose their potency after time making them weaker and can result in a decrease in (AOC) Area of coverage. To increase oil shelf life keep stored sealed in a cool dark place away from heat and direct sunlight. Exposure to Oxygen can play a large role in the decrease in a essential oils monoterpene content (Aroma Intensity) limiting its exposure to the air will preserve it’s integrity.

At times, cheap deals or cheap oils can be of poor quality. In other words, they are not made out of pure plant extracts, which is necessary if the essential oil should have therapeutic effects.  Testing oil through Gas Chromatography (GC) or Mass Spectrometry (MS) is the best way to know if the oil is pure. Testing an oil with GC/MS will give you its exact chemistry. Unfortunately it will not tell you the oil’s energetic quality or vibration. 

For the most part pure essential oils do not expire. They contain antibacterial and antiviral properties and do not contain water that otherwise would make theme prone to grow mildew, mold, or yeast. That being said, once they interact with outside properties such as heat and light, they do start to change.

Bloom recommends cleaning your diffuser with our dedicated diffuser cleaner every 1-2 months or when you change your oil. See cleaning instructions below:

1. Empty out any remaining oil in the oil vessel.
2. Pour in a quarter inch of Bloom Diffuser Cleaner, reassemble the diffuser parts and run on the highest intensity setting for 15 minutes.
3. Discard the used diffuser cleaner, refill the oil vessel with your favourite scent and enjoy.

Completing this process will remove any residual oil, and prevent build-up from happening inside of your unit. We’d recommend cleaning your diffuser between scents or at least every 3 months.
